How collaboration can level-up your creativity

2023 has been a rollercoaster, and the biggest revelation? The sheer brilliance of creating alongside fellow creative souls. It's like a secret ingredient that turns everyday projects into something extraordinary. I've learned that true magic happens when we collaborate and dive deep into shared creative journeys.

In this creative journey, the lesson has been crystal clear: the most impactful work surfaces when creative minds join forces. It's not just about crossing off tasks or perfecting designs; it's about delving into collaborations that add depth and narrative to every project.

I want to share a HUGE highlight for me this year - working with Sarah and the team at Outback Linen Co. Outback Linen Co. is a female-led, rural-based company adding a touch of luxury to the Aussie Outback. Being a lover of everything wild and beautiful and having travelled in regional Queensland (where OCL is based) extensively, I was absolutely thrilled when Sarah reached out to me early this year.

Sarah's vision aligned perfectly with mine, especially considering my travels through the Aussie bush. When she reached out to capture the beauty of this land in a collection, I was all in. Our collaboration wasn't just about patterns; it was a shared love letter to the breathtaking charm of our homeland.

Ramble through the Outback, and you'll see why it's pure magic. The vast landscapes, wide-open spaces—it's Mother Nature showing off. The Aussie bush is a treasure trove of inspiration, and I'm all about bringing that into my art. Our collaboration aimed to bottle up the spirit of the Australian bush—red-earth landscapes, quirky flora, sweeping views. The Outback Horizon collection is our joint tribute to this land's beauty, adding a touch of glam to the rugged Outback.

Here's to the wild ride of creativity, to the dreamers making it happen, and to the awesome minds sprinkling unique brilliance on every project. As 2023 wraps up, I'm carrying forward this wisdom: the real magic happens when creative minds join forces.
