Hi, I’m Steph.
I’m an artist and designer living in Perth, creating on Whadjuk Noongar land.

I’ve been painting since I could hold a brush — my first still life (a bowl of fruit) happened at age four, and creativity has been a part of my life ever since. Trained as a graphic designer, I’ve always worked in creative spaces, but it wasn’t until an early pregnancy loss in 2019 that I truly returned to painting — using it as a way to process, reflect, and reconnect with myself. My practice started as a emotional outlet and release, and over recent years has grown into a developed study of colour, texture, emotion, nostalgia, and escapism.

My work is rooted in emotion and appreciation. I’m drawn to life’s quiet, in-between moments — the orange haze of a summer afternoon, a shared moment between friends, the way memory softens a place over time. These fragments often become the beginning of something new.

I use acrylics and oil sticks to build layered, expressive pieces filled with pattern, movement and depth. My inspiration flows from both the rich natural landscapes of Australia — especially my home in WA — and memories of travel.

When I’m not painting, I’m usually spending time with my two greatest creations (Mr 5 and Ms 3).

This creative path has been anything but linear, but it’s taught me to follow what feels true — and I’m so glad you’re here as part of it.

Thanks for being here
Steph x
