Let’s talk Art Licensing

Art Licensing is SO exciting. As an artist and a designer, art licensing is the perfect meeting point for these two passions of mine.

I love working with beautiful, soul-driven brands and I absolutely love painting. So for me, art licensing is just about the most exciting project to be a part of.

So what is Art Licensing and how does it work?

Essentially, this is when an Artist (me) gives permission for a business or brand (maybe someone like you) to use their artwork on products in exchange for money.

Sound simple right? And I suppose it is, but there is a little more to it than that.

So let’s talk about the different art licensing options and how they might work for you.

Exclusive Art Licensing

Exclusive art licensing means that the licensee is granted the exclusive right to use the artwork for a specific purpose or in a specific market segment. This means that the artist cannot license the same artwork to anyone else.

Exclusive licensing is a beautiful and exciting process where we develop designs specifically for you.

Non-Exclusive Art Licensing

Non-exclusive art licensing means that the artist grants the licensee the right to use the artwork for a specific purpose, but the artist retains the right to license the same artwork to other parties for the same purpose or in the same market segment.

Many of the designs in my pattern gallery are non-exclusive.

Which One Is Right for You?

Choosing between exclusive and non-exclusive licensing really depends on your final goals for your brand and for your products. If you are interested in working with me, simply complete this short survey and I will be in touch!
